A question from a curious mind

ABOUT THIS POEM:
When you see a couple together you sometimes wonder
not only how they came together but what was the feelings
and emotions that attracted them to each other. These are
questions I ask myself when I see a couple together. But I
really pose this question to the woman. And in this poem,
I try to answer it.
Also this poem goes out to we men who thought we had
the love of a woman, only to lose it to someone else.
As I watch the two of you together
Wondering if it will last forever
I ask myself "What did he do?"
To win the heart of someone like you
Was it something about his face
That made your pulse start to race
Was it something in his eyes
That gave your heart a delightful surprise
Could it have been in his voice
That now makes your heart rejoice
Was it the way he held your hand
That made you see he was the man
Or was it something in his kiss
That made you realize what you miss
Let me guess, just maybe
It was his personality
Clothes, money, cars, those shallow material things
Are they the reason you now wear his ring
Oh such a lucky man is he
To have won your love totally
From afar, I give him my best
For he passed all your tests
Like an actor playing his best part
He won the award for your heart
Yes, of all of these questions I ask of you
the one still remains: "What did he do?"
