ABOUT THIS POEM:
This is a poem I wrote to tell the men of the
world that there are other ways than sex to
make love to a woman. What I am also trying
to say here is that sex starts in the mind. I do
believe that you have to make love to the mind
FIRST, and then the body will follow willingly.
Morning...a new day begins
I turn over and look lovingly at her
As she lays sleep
The thought comes up
Why not breakfast in bed?
Is she not worth it?
Pancakes, bacon, eggs, hot coffee
Gives you a splendid surprise
As you awaken
A long look in you eyes
A deep, soulful kiss
Sends us off to work
I pass by a flower shop
So red are the roses
How pretty they will look with you
Early afternoon...a call from you
Excited and delighted is your voice
The roses are beautiful
Off from work early
I am home
Your dinner is almost ready
You and the roses breeze through the door
Our eyes and lips meet
I look eagerly forward to tonight
Dinner, the roses, the candles
The talk is lively
You like my cooking
"No, no, Honey"
I will do the dishes
You save your strength...for later
Come, our bubble bath is ready
The water feels great
Just like you
Drying each other off
The towel lingers at certain spots
Our senses come alive
Lit candles in the bedroom
We draw each other close
A night of romance has begun
As other emotions subside and love arise
As two bodies become one and inhibitions are undone
As passion implodes and ecstasy explodes
I realize...
I have been making love to her all day long
